Who is looking for you?

Fixico, an ambitious tech scale-up, backed by Silicon Valley investors, is expanding rapidly throughout Europe and is looking for a hands-on and social person who will be strengthening our People & Culture team.

As part of the People & Culture Team, you will have a huge impact on the well-being of our employees and be the one in charge of creating the coolest work environment in Amsterdam.

As Fixico is not a regular company like any other, we are not looking for a regular Office Manager either. Within this role, you will be organizing training sessions and workshops as part of our Learning & Development plan, you will directly support our Management team with a.o. their travel arrangement, you’re organizing events on a regular basis, you’ll take care of onboarding our new hires and you’ll be managing a team of lovely lunch ladies. So, this job offers a lot of variety with no day being the same as the one before, and a lot of flexibility and own responsibility.

In your daily activities, your most important pillar is the people within our company. You are fully responsible for creating a nice office atmosphere, keeping the office vibe positive and happy. You are a multitasking mastermind, knowing how to balance between different tasks and taking initiative in making our working environment better every day.

You will manage many different kinds of tasks like; spotting and fixing issues in the office, ensuring the office is always fully stocked, managing our lunch ladies and making sure lunch is arranged on a daily basis, supporting our Management and HR team and of course the most fun of all: you will be taking the lead in organizing company outings and events.

In general, it means you are the one in charge of the office, making sure everything runs smoothly and proactively taking up new projects within your domain. You are the go-to person for your colleagues, building a relationship with everyone. You’ll also be the one welcoming our (international) partners, applicant, and suppliers who will visit our office. You are the face of Fixico; being easy to approach and charismatic, but also comfortable enough to implement company rules and take ownership.

An overview of your responsibilities:

  • Spotting and solving issues in the office
  • Making sure the office is fully stocked
  • Decorating and constantly improving the office environment
  • Making sure lunch is arranged on a daily basis
  • Managing the team of lunch ladies
  • Supporting management and helping out with travel arrangement
  • Making sure the office always looks nice and tidy
  • Supporting the onboarding process of new hires
  • Organizing team outings and events

Your strength consists of...

  • Experience in office management, hospitality or similar role
  • Pro-active and hands-on mentality
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities at once
  • A positive and ‘can-do’ mindset
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently
  • Experience in a fast-moving/startup environment
  • Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus

We are looking for someone who is available from mid-May / beginning of June.
